OCTOBER-NOVEMBER 2017 - The Seldom Seen by Bruce Cull

 NOVEMBER-DECEMBER 2017 - Kirkland Lake Arts Club Annual Exhibition

The Kirkland Lake Arts Club will hold their Annual Exhibition in the Gallery from November 24th, 2017 to January 3rd, 2018. An Opening Reception will take place on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017.

SEPTEMBER 22nd & 23rd, 2017- Annual Used Book Sale                                                                       The Museum's Annual Used Book Sale is back by popular demand! It will run Friday, September 22nd from 7pm to 9pm & Saturday, September 23rd from 10:00am to 3:00pm. See our poster by clicking here! Donations will be accepted until 4pm on Wednesday, September 20th. 

 

OCTOBER 5th, 2017- "A Night at the Movies"                                                                                       The Museum's Auxiliary presents the KL Live Singers performing some favourite songs from film, as well as some forgotten gems. Performers are Shauna McGill, Trish McNaueal, Chris Ackles and Tammy Rodgers-Card, with accompaniment from Sheri Snow and Luke Duhn. Tickets are $15.00 (cash) and are available for purchase at the Museum. Refreshments and Snacks will be on sale at the event. Click here to see the poster!

 

OCTOBER 21st, 2017 - 3rd Annual Contemporary Fundraising Gala                                                     The Contemporary Art Committee will host its 3rd Annual Fundraising Gala at Heritage North on Friday, October 21st starting at 8:00pm. Tickets are $50 and are available at the Museum. With an incredible line-up of performers, a Silent Auction and some wonderful appetizers this is sure to be the event of the year! There will also be a cash bar. Please see the poster for more details.

 

NOVEMBER 17th & 18th, 2017 - Christmas Arts & Crafts Fair                                                             The Museum's Annual Christmas Arts & Crafts Fair will take place Friday November 17th from 6pm to 9pm and Saturday November 18th from 10am to 3pm. See our poster by clicking here!

SUMMER 2018 - 1st Annual Kirkland Lake Arts Festival (postponed from August 2017)                    The Museum and Kirkland Lake Arts Club are partnering together to present the 1st Annual Kirkland Lake Arts Festival. 

This festival will be a blend of symposium (with workshops, demonstrations and networking), market (with food, art, and service vendors), interactive art exhibition, performances, and overall celebration of art in the North!

We want to showcase budding as well as professional artists and artisans: potters, sculptors, jewellers, woodworkers, tattoo artists, painters, performers (dance and music), videographers/photographers and graphic artists, culinary artists, poets and writers, fringe artists, etc … An event specifically to join together and celebrate art; a space created for those who are being called to art to explore, grow and connect.

This event will take place on Friday, August 18th (6-9 p.m.) and Saturday, August 19th (10 a.m. – 3 p.m.). 

The Arts Fest will be held at the Museum, both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting). As an artist you can participate in many ways! We have tables to rent for those artists looking sell or promote their art products and/or services. We also have time slots to host those artists who would like to offer a demonstration, workshop, presentation and/ or “Art Talks” (our art version of “Ted Talks”)!

Should you wish to participate in this event by becoming a vendor and/ or demonstrator/presenter please fill out the forms and return to the Museum secured with payment by Wednesday, August 2nd. 

Please share this information with other local-to-the-North artists (Temiskaming-Cochrane district).
