JANUARY 2018 - 2018 KLDCS Senior Student Art Show

Join us at the Museum on Saturday, January 13th for an Opening Reception to this student art show. The Opening will take place from 1pm to 3pm, with admission as a coin donation. The Exhibit will be on display in the Gallery from January 13th to January 27th. Click here to see the poster.

APRIL 2018 - 11th Annual Contemporary Art Exhibition                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          The Contemporary Art Committee will host the 11th Annual Juried Exhibition with guest artist Suku Park in April of 2018. FEBRUARY 2018 - Free Kids Bowling

The KL 100th Anniverary Committe presents a free bowling event for kids ages 5 to 12 years, hosted by Fred and Sonya Lang at Uptown Bowl on Saturday, February 17th from 1pm to 3pm. The event includes shoe rental and 2 games. Registration takes place at the Museum. There are only 42 spots available so book your spot today! 


SUMMER 2018 - 1st Annual Kirkland Lake Arts Festival (postponed from August 2017)                    The Museum and Kirkland Lake Arts Club are partnering together to present the 1st Annual Kirkland Lake Arts Festival. 

This festival will be a blend of symposium (with workshops, demonstrations and networking), market (with food, art, and service vendors), interactive art exhibition, performances, and overall celebration of art in the North!

We want to showcase budding as well as professional artists and artisans: potters, sculptors, jewellers, woodworkers, tattoo artists, painters, performers (dance and music), videographers/photographers and graphic artists, culinary artists, poets and writers, fringe artists, etc … An event specifically to join together and celebrate art; a space created for those who are being called to art to explore, grow and connect.

This event will take place on Friday, August 17th (6-9 p.m.) and Saturday, August 18th (10 a.m. – 3 p.m.). 

The Arts Fest will be held at the Museum, both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting). As an artist you can participate in many ways! We have tables to rent for those artists looking sell or promote their art products and/or services. We also have time slots to host those artists who would like to offer a demonstration, workshop, presentation and/ or “Art Talks” (our art version of “Ted Talks”)!

Should you wish to participate in this event by becoming a vendor and/ or demonstrator/presenter please fill out the forms and return to the Museum secured with payment by Wednesday, August 2nd. 

Please share this information with other local-to-the-North artists (Temiskaming-Cochrane district).
